You’ve signed up for class - now what???
There are 3 things you need for class: the proper clothes, space to move around and a device to stream the class on.
I recommend comfortable pants your can move easily in (yoga pants, jazz pants), a sports bra, an athletic tee-shirt and a hip scarf. The hip scarf can be anything you can tie around your hips from a pashmina, a shawl or a hip scarf. No shoes or socks, please.
You can find hip scarves all over the internet, but they do vary in quality. I like to buy mine from Dahlal International (https://www.dahlal.com/categories/scarves-for-belly-dance-with-coins-or-beads/ ), but you can also find them on Amazon.
Next find a clear area in which you can spread your arms out and spin in place - without hitting anything. An area without carpet is preferable, but you can dance on any surface.
Set up your device (tablet, laptop, desktop, phone) somewhere that your entire body is visible to the camera and where you can easily see the screen.
And now you’re ready to shimmy!!!
